More than half a century has passed since the introduction of the concept of phytogenic field by A.A. Uranov in 1965. Starting from 90-ies till the present time undeniable progress has been made in studying the phytogenic field of plants. Common to all species studied radial-belt structure of phytogenic field and a number of its basic factors: light, root competition, humidity, the nutritional value, the mode of microbiological and chemicalphysical indicators of soil, and allelopathy have been identified.
