The article presents the physical-geographical characteristics of the territory of the planned protected area of regional significance “Culchum” (near the former village Culchum Ermekeevskiy region of the Republic of Bashkortostan) as well as some materials of field research held in spring and summer of 2012–2014. Valuable geological outcrops as well as a small river unmarked on maps have been found. Climate of the area was studied with the help of meteorological station. The obtained data will serve as the basis for the organization of the regional PAS “Culchum”.
