In the period 2012–2025, avifauna was studied on the «Plavnitskoye bog» ecological trail in the “Polistovsky” state nature reserve. Characteristics of species composition and stability of avifauna on separate sections of the trail are given. The long-term dynamics of tourist flow on the eco-trail and changes in the distribution of tourist load during the year are shown. Based on the monitoring results, the impact of recreational load on the number of species, abundance and species diversity of avifauna of the ecological trail was assessed. The most vulnerable sections of the trail to anthropogenic impact were identified. In order to preserve biodiversity, it was proposed to expand the system of indicators when monitoring the im-pact of recreational load on avifauna. As a factor limiting the recreational load, it is proposed to limit access to the ecotrope during the breeding season of birds (April–June).
